Charli XCX Reportedly in Talks for a Role in Netflix’s ‘Narnia’ Remake
British pop star Charli XCX is rumored to be in discussions for a role in Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia for Netflix. While details remain under wraps, speculation suggests she may be considered for a significant character, possibly the iconic White Witch, Jadis.
Known for her boundary-pushing approach to music, Charli XCX has been steadily expanding into film. She recently announced her involvement in the A24 movie The Moment, which she will both produce and star in, marking the first project under her new production company, Studio365. Additionally, she has several upcoming acting roles, including Faces of Death, Sacrifice, 100 Nights of Hero, I Want Your Sex, and The Gallerist.
Greta Gerwig, the acclaimed director behind Lady Bird and last year’s global phenomenon Barbie, is set to bring Narnia to life in a fresh and imaginative way. Reports indicate that the first installment could be based on The Magician’s Nephew, which explores the origins of Narnia and the White Witch, making Charli’s potential involvement even more intriguing.
Netflix is reportedly planning a theatrical release for the film in IMAX on November 26, 2026, before it becomes available for streaming on December 25, 2026.
As the news of Charli XCX’s potential casting continues to gain traction, fans are eagerly awaiting official confirmation. If the rumors prove true, her transition from music to the big screen could add an exciting new layer to the Narnia franchise.
