Frida Unveils Limited-Edition “Breast Milk” Ice Cream Flavor
Miami-based parenting brand Frida has once again pushed boundaries—this time by entering the frozen dessert world with a bold new release: a breast milk-flavored ice cream. The limited-edition treat is scheduled to launch in nine months, timed to coincide with the debut of Frida’s new 2-in-1 Manual Breast Pump.
Despite the eyebrow-raising name, the ice cream doesn’t contain actual breast milk. Instead, it’s formulated to replicate its naturally sweet and creamy flavor. The company also infused it with nutrients commonly found in breast milk, including Omega-3 fatty acids, lactose, iron, calcium, and vitamins B and D, along with zinc.
Frida says the idea stemmed from genuine curiosity—both from parents and non-parents alike. Surveys have shown that nearly 70% of women have tasted their own breast milk, and almost 30% of men have expressed curiosity about it. With that in mind, Frida saw an opportunity to create a product that’s not only attention-grabbing but also thoughtfully designed to educate and entertain.
Reactions on social media have been a mix of surprise, amusement, and enthusiasm. Many users praised the brand for its bold marketing while others simply want to know what breast milk actually tastes like.
Frida is inviting the curious to sign up on their website to be notified when the ice cream becomes available. While unconventional, the company sees this campaign as a playful extension of its mission to normalize the realities of parenthood and celebrate the human body in all its miraculous weirdness.
Whether it becomes a cult classic or a fleeting curiosity, one thing’s certain—Frida knows how to get people talking.
